Founder & Creative Director
Tierra Turner is the Founder and Creative Director of Uniformed Beauty and The Glam Command, a modern beauty and lifestyle brand designed to empower women who lead, serve, and create with purpose.
With over 12 years of experience as a licensed cosmetologist, Tierra’s career is rooted in excellence, resilience, and innovation. A graduate of Bellus Academy, she distinguished herself early, earning opportunities with industry leaders such as Paul Mitchell prior to completing her studies. Her professional background spans roles including booth stylist, suite owner, virgin hair dealer, and makeup artist, serving clients across the Midwest and throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area.
Tierra is also a dedicated scholar and strategic communicator. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and is currently completing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Business Administration and Marketing. Her academic training informs the brand strategy, storytelling, and business development behind Uniformed Beauty and The Glam Command.
Beyond entrepreneurship, Tierra is an active-duty U.S. Navy service member, fulfilling a lifelong commitment to service. Her military experience shapes her leadership philosophy grounded in discipline, integrity, and service to others. While reinforcing her dedication to empowering women in uniform and in leadership roles.
In addition to her business and military service, Tierra serves as Vice Chair of the Jonesboro Downtown Development Authority (DDA), where she plays an active role in downtown revitalization, small business advocacy, and economic development initiatives. Her work with the DDA reflects her commitment to community-building and sustainable local growth, particularly for women- and veteran-owned businesses.
As the visionary behind The Glam Command, Tierra has expanded Uniformed Beauty into a flagship beauty ecosystem located in Jonesboro, Georgia. The Glam Command brings together curated coffee and pastries, cruelty-free cosmetics, professional content creation, branding services, and community-centered experiences, intentionally designed for women balancing ambition, service, and self-care.
Tierra is also a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment and wellness. She actively supports domestic violence awareness through the Cut It Out program and champions breast cancer awareness initiatives, using her platform to educate, uplift, and serve with purpose.
Guided by faith, service, and creativity, Tierra believes that beauty is not a luxury, it is a leadership tool. Through Uniformed Beauty and The Glam Command, she continues to build spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered to command their presence, inside and out.
